MU Theme for 2010: RELATIONSHIPS NOT RULES Welcome to the web-page of the Saint Mary's Church, Yate branch of the Mothers' Union, the worldwide organisation helping to provide Christian care for families everywhere. We support, through prayer, fundraising and practical help many MU projects locally and overseas. The MU in St. Mary's is growing and lively and we look forward to welcoming new members. Our Branch Meetings are usually on the third Thursday of the month at St. Mary’s Church Yate at 2pm Details of forthcoming meetings or events are below and you can see our full year's calendar HERE. At each meeting, we have a short service with prayers, hymn and Bible reading. We normally have a speaker and tea and biscuits afterwards. |
The Wave of Prayer Tuesday 23rd February, 11:30 am in St. Mary's. All Welcome. Bring your lunch. Drinks provided. The Wave of Prayer is an offering of prayer from and for MU around the world. It concerns every member as all take part in prayer for Mothers' Union in each diocese of the Anglican Communion in turn. Specific days in the year areallocated to each diocese when prayers are focused on their work and needs. Diocesan Festival and Commissioning service 2010. Saturday 27th February at 11am Bristol Cathedral, when the Bishop of Swindon will commission, for the new Triennial, New President Mary Head, new Trustees (including Mavis),Speakers(Wully),and Branch Leaders (Jacky) Please let Jacky know asap if you intend to be there.
